Description
The 067 Standard Penrose Drain, 18" × 1/4" is a sterile, flat surgical drain designed to facilitate passive drainage from a surgical site. Made from flexible rubber, it allows blood, lymph, and other fluids to move out of the wound area by gravity and along the drain's surfaces into an external dressing.
Measuring 18 inches in length and 1/4 inch in width, the drain can be positioned at the surgical site to support fluid removal during postoperative care. Its flexible construction allows it to conform to the placement requirements of the procedure.
A safety pin is provided to help prevent the drain from slipping back into the wound when appropriately secured. The drain is also radiopaque, allowing it to be identified on radiographic imaging when clinically required.
